Day 01 – Arrive Cochin
Once you land you will be transported to Brunton Boatyard for an overnight stay.
The hotel is on the waterside and presents old-style architecture. A large pool and the aromas from the kitchen combine to perfect your experience.
Cochin (meaning harbor) was carved out by a huge flood in the 14th century and went on to become an important historical port of call for international traders. It is today one of the important ports of the country.
Day 02 – In Cochin
Have a relaxed breakfast before starting the day’s tour of Cochin where you will see:
Visit the Dutch Palace and the Jewish synagogue resplendent with their tales of mythology and history. The synagogue has interesting lightings and tiling while the Dutch Palace has resplendent murals of past glory.
Walk along the Cochin harbor and watch the fishermen work with the sprawling nets.
View St Francis church, the oldest church of the location.
Take a leisurely stroll along Fort Kochi beach and see the Hill Palace and the antique collections it possesses.
Day 03 – Drive Cochin - Periyar (200 kms / 4 hrs)
Check out in the morning and drive to Periyar where you will stay for 2 nights at the Spice Village.
Spice Village lies on a huge plantation and is home to a huge variety of plants and spices. It stands on the fringe of Periyar forest animal sanctuary. The Periyar lake is a man-made wonder and a highlight of Kerala Holidays.
Day 04 - In Periyar
Take the early morning boat tour on the lake to catch a glimpse of roaming elephants and a variety of animals. Enjoy a trip to the nearby spice plantation and visit the Cardamom Hill.
Day 05 – Drive Periyar – Kumarakom (200 kms/04 hrs)
Start off for enchanting Kumarakom for an overnight stay at Coconut Lagoon Resort. This aspect of Kerala Holidays has you experiencing Kerala life in its richness with all the modern amenities and privacy you want. You may rest on this day or just take in your surroundings.
Kumarakom is the land of the famed backwaters of Kerala. The bird sanctuary and lush paddy fields famously offset the natural forestry of the area.
Day 06 – Kumarakom - Houseboat
The final leg of Kerala Holidays is an overnight cruise in a houseboat. You can fish or just enjoy the surroundings. You will be accompanied by a boat crew and a chef to take note of your preferences.
Day 07 –Houseboat- Cochin airport (85kms /02 hrs)
You will land at Alleppey and take the drive to Cochin Aiport.
