The magical journey through India begins in Mumbai, proceeding to royal Gujarat’s city- Vadodara, ‘City of Lakes’ Udaipur, ‘City of Taj’ Agra, Mumbai, ‘Blue City’ Jodhpur, ‘Pink City’ Jaipur, and wildlife expedition at the Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore). Marvel at the magnificent architecture, especially the celebrated Taj Mahal. Enjoy sightseeing, boat ride in the placid waters of Lake Pichola, wildlife expedition in the habitat of Tigers. The Indian Sojourn begins journey from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Assemble around
15:30 hours. After a traditional welcome and a refreshing drink, complete the registration
and check-in formalities and step aboard the Deccan Odyssey. Explore the luxury train and
the cabins. While you settle down, the train departs for the next stop-Vadodara.
Dinner and overnight stay on- board.
Early in the morning arrive to Vadodara, one of Gujarat’s fascinating cities and the royal seat
of the Gaekwad rulers. Wake up and proceed for breakfast. Later, disembark from the train
for sightseeing.
Head to the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. The UNESCO World Heritage is the
only city that dates back to the era of Islamic pre-Mughal rule. Walk amid the ruins and
discover the treasures of the olden days. Jami Masjid is the iconic landmark which inspired
Mosque architecture in India. After the outing, get back on-board for a sumptuous lunch
awaiting at the Deccan Odyssey.
Post lunch, pay a visit to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. Awe at the fine collection of
sculptures, paintings and mostly the brilliant architecture. Next, proceed to attend High Tea at
the Laxmi Vilas Palace. The pride of Vadodara, four times the size of the Buckingham Palace
was the residence of the royal family. Walk through the Durbar Hall and the displayed
treasures. Till date it retains its old grandeur. Feel like royalty seated in the palace where
you can enjoy a special folk performance.
Be back aboard Deccan Odyssey for dinner and an overnight stay. The train starts its journey
towards Udaipur.
In the morning, the train chugs into the City of Lakes, Udaipur that is quite popular for being
one of the most romantic cities of India. Relish breakfast while admiring the lovely views of
the Aravali ranges. Breakfast is followed by sightseeing tour of Udaipur.
Explore the City Palace complex set on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola erected during the
span of 400 years started by by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1159. Following sightseeing is a
magical boat ride on the lake. Get back to Deccan Odyssey as the train awaits you with
steaming lunch.
Post lunch, de-board for a walking tour of Old Udaipur. While walking through the markets
discover amazing stuff such as puppets, jewellery, wooden boxes, and other handicraft
items.
Be back on-board the train for dinner and overnight stay as the train makes way to Jodhpur.
The train arrives to Jodhpur. Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, it houses some amazing
forts, temples and palaces. Have breakfast onboard. Rest of the day is at leisure. Choose
from options of visit to a luxury hotel for a relaxing spa session or visit to the Bishnoi tribal
village along with potter and weavers villages for sneak-peek into their lives.
Post lunch at the Deccan Odyssey, get ready for a sightseeing tour of the ‘Blue City’Jodhpur.
Pay a visit to the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, overlooking the city. The 15teh century fortress is
among the country's largest and most impressive. A part of the fort has a museum that
consists of royal palanquins, armory, paintings, royal memorabilia and more. The colorful
Turban Gallery is the higlight. Later, stroll around the city- the Old Clock Tower market and
awe at the havelis and the bustling wares sold.
In the evening, savor lip-smacking Marwar barbeque delicacies in the royal courtyard the
Mehrangarh Fort. Besides the treat ton your taste buds, your eyes will too relish the lovely
views of the surroundings from the top.
Back to the train as it starts its journey towards the next destination, the Mughal City of
Agra.
Overnight on-board Deccan Odyssey.
Start the day in the delightful Mughal City of Agra. Still retaining the charms of the olden
days, the city is home to some of the most magnificent architectural along with the Taj
Mahal. After a leisurely breakfast, set out on to enjoy a visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the
Seven Wonders of the World, a World Heritage Site. This white-marble mausoleum is
breath-taking to marvel at. Witness the eternal love of the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for
his beloved Mumtaz Mahal.
Lunch is planned at a City Hotel. Later, procced for a visit to the Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb,
nicknamed as the 'Baby Taj'. The lovely marble mausoleum has wonderful latticework. Next,
proceed for a visit to the mighty Mughal architectural gem of Agra Fort, a UNESCO World
Heritage site. Part red sandstone, part white-marble, the fortress has a number of royal
palaces and other impressive architecture.
Post-sightseeing, the day is at your leisure with options to choose such as a relaxing spa
session at a popular city hotel or shopping for impressive souvenirs at the local markets of
Agra.
Dinner and overnight on-board the Deccan Odyssey for as train proceeds towards Sawai
Madhopur.

In the morning arrive to Sawai Madhopur for a visit to the popular Ranthambore National
Park. One of the largest national parks as well as India's finest tiger reserves, the former
hunting grounds is now home to majestic beasts.
Enjoy breakfast on board, followed by a wildlife safari. The national park is home to Royal
Bengal Tigers, other species such as Chinkara, Nilgai, Sambhar, Sloth Bear, Chital and more.
Also 272 species of species of resident as well as migratory birds inhabit the wildlife reserve.
Lavish lunch awaits on board. Post-lunch embark on a village safari. Interact with turban-
wearing men and colorful ghagra-choli wearing women. Proceed for high-tea at a popular
hunting lodge of the royal family of Jaipur.
Dinner awaits at the onboard restaurants, followed by overnight stay at train proceeds to
Jaipur.
Deccan Odyssey has arrived and stationed at the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Post
breakfast, disembark from the luxury train and visit the Pink City of Jaipur, now listed among
UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
First, pay a visit to the mighty Amer Fort. The 16 th century fortress is named among the hill
forts of Rajasthan which have been granted with the status of world heritage sites in India.
From the top of the fort enjoy the view of Maota Lake while you explore the wonderful
structures housed in the fort.
En route Amer Fort, halt to explore Hawa Mahal, also known as Palace of Winds. This pink
sandstone structure with its interesting honey cobweb-like construction is an iconic
landmark. Later, proceed for a visit to the City Palace. The residence of the royal family of
Jaipur, this lovely complex lures with its attractive architecture, museums with royal
memorabilia and so much more. Move on for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site-
Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory.
Lunch is arranged in a city hotel. After this, you have the day at leisure with optional
activities. Choose from a realxing spa session or visit to the bustling and colorful local
markets of Jaipur to get your hands on colorful handicrafts, traditional clothes, bangles,
imitation jewellery and more.
Be back on-board the luxury train for dinner and overnight stay.
