Indian Panorama is a pan-India 7-day journey that covers the prized highlights of the country. The journey begins and concludes in Delhi, proceeding to marvelous cities of architectural brilliance, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, inspirational places and so much more. The itinerary covers grandeur of the royal Pink City of Jaipur, wildlife thrill of Ranthambore, Agra for a visit to the TajMahal, blessings of the sacred city of Varanasi, display of artistic brilliance at Khajuraho.Besides the memorable journey the well-appointed décor of the Maharajas’ Express remind of the erstwhile times of royalty.

Day 1 - (Sunday) –Delhi – Jaipur
Assemble at the Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station at 07:30 hours. Enjoy warm welcome and complete the check in formalities. Board the Indian luxury train inspired from the era of Maharajas. Explore the beautiful cabins and the other royal amenities of the train.
Enjoy a healthy breakfast on board at any of the lavish restaurants of the luxury. Enjoy the passing scenery or the amenities aboard as the train proceeds to Jaipur at 08:30. At 13:00 hours proceed to any of the luxury restaurants on board for a mouthwatering lunch. The train chugs into Jaipur while you savor the delectable fare.
While the train is stationed, disembark at 15:00 hours to proceed to visit the City Palace. Settled in the middle of the walled city, it is the residence of the royal family of Jaipur. Sightseeing includes the fascinating museums and galleries. End the excursion with a lavish dinner at Rambagh Palace Hotel, prized heritage property in the city.
By 20:30 return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express for overnight stay on board. -
Day 2 - (Monday) –Jaipur
Start the day with early breakfast, served at the grand restaurants aboard the Indian luxury train at 07:00 hours. Post-breakfast, get ready by 08:00 hours to pay a visit to the Amber Fort. Guarding the city of Amer, the fortress is listed among the hill forts of Rajasthan which have the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The yellow-sandstone structure treasures beautiful palaces, gardens and memorabilia of the past.
By 12:30 be back on the stationed Maharajas' Express for lunch on board. Post-lunchchoose to indulge in the optional activities. Choices include a pampering spa session at a hotel or a visit to City Palace and Observatory (JantarMantar) or a local Jaipur city tour.
Dinner is served on board by 19:30 hours. Proceed to the grand setting of the Rang Mahal or the MayurMahal, the opulent restaurants on board.
While you tuck into bed in your comfy cabins, Maharajas' Express leaves for SawaiMadhopur (Ranthambore) by 23:00 hours.
Overnight stay on board. -
Day 3 - (Tuesday) –Ranthambore – FatehpurSikri
Get ready by 06:00 to proceed for an exciting Game Drive at the Ranthambore National Park. The wildlife sanctuary was formerly the hunting grounds of the royal family of Jaipur and now is the prized reserve of Royal Bengal Tigers and other species of wildlife.
After the thrilling expedition, return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express by 09:30 hours. Savor the delicious breakfast servedon board. While you retire back to your cabins, the Maharajas' Express proceeds for FatehpurSikri.
Lunch is served on board by 13:30 hours. Seat yourself at any of the lavish restaurants to treat your taste buds to the scrumptious fares.
At 15:30 hours deboard to pay a visit to the deserted Mughal City of FatehpurSikri. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city is full of treasures of Mughal Architecture. Awe at the BulandDarwaza, royal palaces and other marvellous designs. After fun-filled outing,return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express by 18:00 hours.
Dinner is served at 20:00, proceed to the elegant- MayurMahal or the vibrant Rang Mahal.
Overnight stay on board the Maharajas’ Express at FatehpurSikri. -
Day 4 - (Wednesday) –Agra
Start the day early in the morning. By 06:30 arrive into Agra and proceed to visit the TajMahal. One of the ‘Wonders of the World’ the white-marble mausoleum is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. The early morning hour enhances the ethereal beauty of the Taj.
After a rendezvous with the Taj, proceed for Champagne Breakfast at TajKhema at 09:30 hours. Get back aboard the Maharajas’ Express by 11:00 hours to enjoy the royal comforts of the train.
Lunch is scheduled for 13:00 at the two lavish restaurants. Post lunch, choose from the optional activities. The choices are a relaxing session of Spa at a Hotel, a visit to Itmad-ud-Daula, exploring the Agra Fort, local Agra city tour or attending the Mohabbat the Taj Show.
Dinner and overnight stay on board as the train proceed to the next stop. -
Day 5 - (Thursday) –Orchha – Khajuraho
Start the day with early breakfast on board. As the train stations at Jhansi by 07:30, deboard and proceed to Orchha by road. The beautiful town of Orchha is one of the medieval treasures of Madhya Pradesh. A proposed World Heritage Site, in this charming town pay a visit to Orchha Fort and a tour of village by TukTuks.
Post- sightseeing get back on the Maharajas’ Expressas the train proceeds to Khajuraho. Indulge in the lavish comforts of the train followed by a mouthwatering lunch.
The train arrive to Khajuraho at 13:30. De board and proceed for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho, famous for the Western Group of Temples. Awe at the erotic sculptures the temples have earned a worldwide reputation for. Though in ruins the Khajuraho temples prove to be sight quite out of the world.
After sightseeing, return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express by 18:00 hours. To spend the rest of the evening choose from optional activities. The choice include a pampering session in a spa facility at a hotel or attending a Light and Sound Show or the Dances of India Show.
Dinner at the two lavish onboardrestaurants.
Overnight stay on the train as the Maharajas’ Express proceeds to Varanasi. -
Day 6 - (Friday) –Varanasi
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast at any of the on-board restaurants. Enjoy the comforts of the luxury train or watch the passing landscape.
The train chugs into Varanasi by 12:00. De board and proceed for a delicious lunch at Taj Ganges Hotel. Post lunch embark upon sightseeing. The plans for the day include visit to the Sarnath ruins followed by visit to silk weaving centre. Sarnath is home to the teachings of Lord Buddha as he delivered his sermons here. Varanasi has a reputation for its attractive weavings which you can witness crafted in-action and even purchase some of the gorgeous masterpieces.
As the day ends, proceed for Boat ride on the Ganges by 16:30. Watch the ancient river ghats of the city as old as civilization. Further, proceed to witness the spectacular evening aarti. The daily ritual of worship of the River Ganges is a spiritual event that grants a soothing bliss for all your senses.
After attending Ganga Aarti, procced for an exclusive vegetarian dinner along with a spectacular performance of Kathak Dance at Brij Rama Palace at the river ghats.
As the day ends, return to the comforts of the Maharajas’ Express. While you are asleep in your comfy lodgings, the Maharajas’ Express proceeds to Delhi. -
Day 7 - (Saturday) –Delhi
The day is at your leisure. Start the day with relaxed breakfast, followed by lunch. Enjoy the comforts of the train and watch the scenery.
The Maharajas’ Express arrives to Delhi by 15:00. Disembark and bid farewell as your journey comes to an end!

- USD 500 Per Person surcharge levied on the tariff for the trips falling during Christmas and New Year
- Half fare for the children of 5 to 12 years.
- Children up to 05 years of age are free.
- The above tariff and itinerary is subject to revise without prior notice.
- Tariff is inclusive of cost of travel and accommodation, catering, boiled mineral water (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces and cultural entertainment.
- Tariff does not include liquor, laundry, video cameras and other items of personal nature
Booking Policy
- 50% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
- Remaining 50% of ticket value 75 days prior to departure.
Cancellation conditions for Maharajas Express train are as follows.
- 25% of ticket value 60 days or more prior to departure date.
- 50% of ticket value between 45 to 59 days prior to departure date.
- 100% of ticket value 44 or less days prior to the departure date.
