Treasures of India
Like its name, the 3-night Treasures of India is a lavish itinerary aboard the Maharajas’ Express. The journey begins from the fascinating capital city, Delhi traversing the famed Golden Triangle tour which includes Jaipur, Agra and Sawai Madhopur. Enjoy the royal comforts of the luxury train along with the sightseeing of the Taj Mahal, forts, palaces and incredible architecture and much more.

Day 1 - Sunday - Delhi
By 08: 15 hours assemble at the Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station to begin with your check-in formalities on the Maharajas’ Express. By 09:15 the trains rolls towards Agra, the historic Mughal City.
Savor a delicious brunch onboard at any of the two lavish restaurants aboard. On the way attend the tour briefing where you will have the details of what you would be seeing and experiencing. By 14:15 hours arrive at the Agra Railway Station. In 15-20 minutes, get ready for an outing to the Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal: Named among the ‘Wonders of the World’ Taj Mahal is a UNESCO Wold Heritage Site. The white-marbled mausoleum is one of the most beautiful architectures in the world. Built the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for his beloved Mumtaz Mahal as a token of eternal love. The monument is known as an ‘icon of love’. Marvel at the beauty of the Taj. Walk through the lush Mughal gardens and feel lost in time.
After the Taj excursion, opt to return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express or the optional activities –Spa at a Hotel or attend the Mohabbat the Taj Show.
Dinner onboard followed by a comfortable overnight stay on the train.

Day 2 - Monday - Agra – Ranthambore - Jaipur
Awake early and by 07:00 hours proceed to visit the Agra Fort or you may choose optional activity to visit Itmad ud Daula.
Agra Fort The red-sandstone Agra Fort is an architectural marvel. Once the seat of administration of the Mughal Empire, the fortress has many interesting places to see. The Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Jahangiri Mahal, Khas Mahal, Mussamman Burj and other sight are testimony of the glorious days of the past.
Itmad-ud-Daulah Also known as the ‘Baby Taj’, Itmad-ud-Daulah is a marvellous specimen of architecture. It is one of the earliest creations of the Mughal dynasty that still shine as an outstanding beauty.
After sightseeing, get back onboard the Maharajas Express by 09:00 hours. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at any of the two lavish restaurants onboard; Mayur Mahal and the Rang Mahal. By 10:45 hours the luxury train makes its way towards Ranthambore National Park. Sawai Madhopur is the nearest railway station to the wildlife sanctuary.
By 13:00 hours proceed towards lunch at one of the onboard restaurants. From mouth-watering Indian dishes to continental cuisines to other fares from all over the world.
By 15:00 hours arrive at Ranthambore National Park. Proceed for an exciting Game Drive at the wildlife reserve which is quite popular for being the habitat of the Royal Bengal Tigers. Formerly the hunting grounds of the royal family of Jaipur, now the region is shelter to the beasts.
After a fun-filled wildlife exploration, return to the luxuries of Maharajas’ Express. The train proceeds to ‘Pink City’ Jaipur. By 20:00 hours dinner will be served onboard. Seat yourself at any of the restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal.
By 20:30 hours the Maharajas’ Express arrives at Jaipur. -
Day 3 - Tuesday - Jaipur
Start the day early with a hearty breakfast onboard by 07:00 hours. At 08:00 hours, proceed to visit the Amber Fort.
Amber Fort: The yellow-sandstone fortress of Amer is one of the hill forts of Rajasthan listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
After sightseeing proceed with any of the following optional activities. Choose to enjoy a spa at a hotel or a visit to City Palace and Observatory (Jantar Mantar) or a private Shopping Tour.
By noon, return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express. By 13:30 hours savor lunch at any of the onboard restaurants. Spend the afternoon at leisure onbaord. At 17:00 hours proceed for dinner at the Rambagh Palace. Owned by the Taj Group, the heritage hotel was formerly the residence of the royal family of Jaipur.
By 21:00 hours return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express. While you rest the train proceeds towards Delhi. -
Day 4 - Wednesday - Delhi
Wake up to a hearty breakfast served by 08:00 hours at the onboard restaurants. By 10:00 hours complete the check-out formalities and disembark. Bid farewell to the Maharajas' Express as the Treasures of India journey comes to an end.

- Service Tax will be charged extra as applicable
- USD 500 Per Person surcharge levied on the tariff for the trips falling during Christmas and New Year
- Half fare for the children of 5 to 12 years.
- Children up to 05 years of age are free.
- The above tariff and itinerary is subject to revise without prior notice.
- Tariff is inclusive of cost of travel and accommodation, catering, boiled mineral water (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces and cultural entertainment.
- Tariff does not include liquor, laundry, video cameras and other items of personal nature
Booking Policy
- 50% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
- Remaining 50% of ticket value 75 days prior to departure.
Cancellation policy for Maharajas Express train are as follows.
- 25% of ticket value 60 days or more prior to departure date.
- 50% of ticket value between 45 to 59 days prior to departure date.
- 100% of ticket value 44 or less days prior to the departure date.
