From Kapil Goswamy | Managing Director | Trans India Holidays
Dear Friends & Colleagues,
After 30 long months of Covid induced lockdowns and business having been virtually at a stand still , I am extremely happy to be back in touch with each one of you once again. The last few years have undoubtedly been a nightmare for all of us in the Tourism and Hospitality industries, but the light that we were seeing at the end of the tunnel , is finally here ! We are very much back to doing what we do best --- which is taking care of travelers wanting to explore our part of the world, and giving them a taste of what the Indian sub-continent offers. The good news is , that Covid seems to be behind us now , and India (as well as our other destinations Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka) are now all open for business as usual, with very little restrictions remaining . India opened it’s borders a few months ago, did away with most Covid restrictions , restarted the E-Visa for tourists from almost 150 countries , and so far the response has been excellent.
The big news announced just yesterday is that travellers from the UK are now eligible for E-Visa for India too.
|
At our end, the season began with us being awarded our 6th National Tourism Award on the 27th of September 2022, which is also World Tourism Day. This award was for excellence during 2018-2019, but, for obvious reasons , was only announced and given last month.
