• Day 1: Arrive Kolkata

  You will be met at the airport by Trans India Holidays representative and transferred to the hotel-The Park and assisted with check in formalities. Kolkata is seen as the land of the intellectuals. • Day 2: In Kolkata

  After leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Kolkata. Tour includes visits to the Victoria Memorial, Raj Bhawan, Howrah Bridge, Eden Gardens and the Kalighat temple. Overnight in Kolkata.

• Day 3: Fly Kolkata - Bagdogra and drive Bagdogra - Darjeeling (90 kms/ 3 hrs)

  Start the day with a leisurely breakfast at hotel, after which you will be met by our representative and assisted with check out formalities and transfer to airport to board flight for Bagdogra. You will be met by our representative at Bagdogra airport and drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling - Darjeeling is a popular hill-resort and fascinating place. "The Queen of the Hills" lies perched at a height of 2134m with a panoramic view on the mighty Kanchenjunga Cluster. Darjeeling has attracted many generations of visitors to enjoy the joys of the cool and healthy climate of the mountains. It was the very first "Hill Sanitarium" developed by the British to escape the heat, humidity and hassle of the North Indian plains. Also, "Darjeeling" and "tea" have become synonymous. • Day 4: In Darjeeling

  Early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for an excursion to Tiger Hill and Ghoom Monastery. Later after breakfast, sightseeing tour of Darjeeling visiting the Himalayan Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help centre as well as nearby tea gardens. • Day 5: Drive Darjeeling - Pelling (75 kms/approx 04 hrs)

  After leisurely breakfast, you will be met by our representative and assisted with check-out formalities. You will then start your drive to Pelling, the next stop on your Darjeeling Sikkim tour. Pelling : Pelling, is a laid back, scenic, but rapidly swelling hamlet in West Sikkim, situated at an altitude of 2,085 m . Pelling is famous for the magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains of Khangchendzonga, said to be the guardian diety of Sikkim and the worlds third highest mountain. On arrival in Pelling, you will be assisted with check in formalities at the hotel Elgin Mount Pandim. Overnight in Pelling.

• Day 6: In Pelling

  After leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Pelling visiting Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdantse Ruins. Overnight in Pelling.

• Day 7: Drive Pelling - Gangtok (80 kms/approx 03 hours)

  After leisurely breakfast, you will be met by our representative and assisted with check-out formalities. You will then start your drive to Gangtok, Sikkim’s capital and largest city, en-route visiting Bon Monastery. After visiting Bon Monastery continue drive to Gangtok. Gangtok - The Gateway to Sikkim, the last Shangri-La, this state of India occupies a rising ridge and the Himalayas serve as a backdrop to the town. With a backdrop of the Himalayas, Sikkim offers breathtaking vistas, colourful lifestyles, Buddhist shrines, adventure, exquisite flora and fauna, including hundreds of varieties of butterflies, all close to the capital, Gangtok. Efforts are on to expand quality tourism to other areas. There has been a rapid increase in the availability of accommodation. Apart government accommodation at various places, Gangtok is teeming with lodges and hotels. Sikkim is ideal for a visit by itself, or combined with visits to Darjeeling and/or Kalimpong. Surrounded by Tibet, Bhutan, West Bengal and Nepal, Sikkim was a monarchy and emerged as the 22nd Indian state in the 1970s. The capital is expanding, to the status of a city. • Day 8: In Gangtok

  After leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Gangtok visiting the Rumtek Monastery (said to be the one of the highlights of a Darjeeling and Sikkim tour), the Institute of Tibetology, the Do Drul Chorten, the Institute of cottage industries and the Enchey Monastery. Overnight in Gangtok.

• Day 9: Drive Gangtok - Bagdogra airport (100 kms/approx 04 hrs) and Depart

  After breakfast, you will be met by our representative and assisted with check-out formalities followed by transfer to airport in time for your flight home.
